Quality Systems Administrator

Essential Functions

  • Establish and implement quality management system requirements in accordance with the ISO 13485 International Standard.

  • Manages workplace safety, performs quality control inspections, and audits internal and external systems.

  • Makes decisions on quality acceptance and communicates these decisions to department leaders so that they can support the company's goals and objectives.

  • Oversees quality department to include direct supervision of leads in the cleanroom.

  • Establish and document the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications.

  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities and address resulting corrective & preventive actions.

  • Communicate with customers on issues involving quality and complaints.

  • Manage quality systems training compliance and validation.

  • Manage instrument calibration and certification.

  • Coordinate the release of raw materials to production and disposition of non-conforming materials.

  • Review customer requirements and make sure they are met.

  • Engage in risk management evaluation and mitigation processes

  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

  • Set standards for quality as well as health and safety.

  • Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international // national standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Search for ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operations staff.

  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.

  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing analytical reports.

  • Make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.

  • Use relevant quality tools and make sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business.

  • Coordination and completion of inspection methods of Injection molded and assembled parts.

  • Demonstrates knowledge to hold to standards of International Standards Organization (ISO) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) within the Quality Assurance Department

  • Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.


  • Experience in an ISO regulated environment; highly regulated industry experience such as medical device, automotive, or aerospace is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in quality and compliance, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be organized and efficient
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage people
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to get to assigned shift on time
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must be able to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, measuring and decimal points.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to sit or stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms.
  • Stoop, kneel, or bend.
  • Employee must be able to talk and hear.
  • Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.'
