Engineering Manager

Essential Functions

  • Assign, coordinate, and direct projects to engineering staff, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities

  • Provide technical oversight of projects and make technical decisions as necessary to keep projects on schedule.

  • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team.

  • Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes.

  • Check and confirm accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.

  • Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects.

  • Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes.

  • Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.

  • Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.

  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the Injectech ISO 13485 Quality System.

  • Maintain project Design History Files, ensure all documentation meets project and team needs and is completed in accordance with Injectech’s ISO 13485 Quality System.

  • Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to discuss new product lines.

  • Attend trade shows and conferences.

  • Train new engineers.


Training & Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Engineering.


7+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management. Previous experience working in a medical manufacturing environment required. Extensive experience with ISO 13485 design and development processes.

  • Medical manufacturing environment experience required

  • Understanding of injection molding process and tooling preferred

  • Excellent planning/time management skills

  • Communication, within team and with managers, customers, and suppliers

  • Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, and PowerPoint

  • Fusion 360 and Solid Works preferred

Quality Assurance Technician

Essential Functions

  • Support all aspects of operations.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Self-directed performance of dimensional/visual qualification/inspection of product and its release.

  • Performing first article tooling design qualification and process verification measurements.

  • Knowledge of the proper use and care of metrology instruments.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Line Clearance (release of line for production run)

  • Completion and control of quality records, including the use of “Good Documentation Practice”.

  • May be responsible for verification and validation of assembled product.

  • Knowledge of SOPs, Work instructions and ISO 13485 standards applicable to task responsibilities.

  • Support Design Engineer, Process Engineer and Office Manager as needed.


  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Demonstrates good verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to get to assigned shift on time

  • Ability to adjust to changes in production scheduling or task assignments.

  • Must be able to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, measuring and decimal points.

  • Basic computer skills including ability to work with or learn MS word, Excel and SharePoint.

  • Intelligible handwriting and data entry accuracy.

  • Must have scheduling flexibility

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to sit or stand for 8 hours per day.

  • Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms.

  • Stoop, kneel or bend.

  • Employee must be able to talk and hear.

  • Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • Employee must be willing to abide by cleanroom protocol, wear clean room attire, to including safety glasses and face coverings.

  • Employee must have a current eye exam (3 years) and wear appropriate prescription lenses if required for corrective vision.


Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Lead

Essential Functions

Shipping & Receiving
  • Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as pallet jacks/forklift

  • Checks for damaged goods

  • Verifies quantity and quality of order

  • Verifies items received with purchase order

  • Wraps, packages, and ships product

  • Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas

  • Tags and issues supplies

  • Stocks shelves and rotates inventory

Inventory Management and Control
  • Participates in physical inventories of warehouse

  • Maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received;

  • Operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information

  • Provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability \

  • Prepare damage claims for supervisor's review and signature

  • Coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.

Lead Responsibilities
  • Supports team manager and performs management duties when manager is absent or out of office

  • Manages inventories and stock, including keeping detailed records of inventory use and sales, and advising management on ordering where necessary

  • Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks

  • Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training

  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance

  • Communicates deadlines and sales goals to team members

  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals

  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations

  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines

  • Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards

  • Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Some knowledge of basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
